Tussilago return to the street—and studio—where their journey began with Saltmätargatan, an album named after the tucked-away Stockholm location that first served as their creative base. Both a homecoming and a reinvention, the record marks the band’s first release in five years, reuniting members Jesper Hättander, Pierre Riddez, Rickard Renström, and Samuel Lundin with long-time collaborator and producer Petter Winnberg (Amason).

Rooted in intuition and improvisation, the album was shaped by contrasting environments: rough ideas laid down in the city evolved during a quiet retreat in Dalarna. The result is a rich sonic landscape that shifts between urban tension and rural stillness. From the slow build of the opener to the explosive urgency of ‘Teatern’ and the lush melancholy of ‘Time Moves’, Saltmätargatan captures a band reconnecting with each other—and the spark that started it all.
