There’s a sense of duality about Papa Roach’s first live album. Of course, as its title suggests, it captures the nu metal legends both in the studio and on stage. At the same time, it also represented a convergence of the past and present as they stood at a fork in the road. By the time of the album’s release in 2010, the band had firmly established themselves as future-proof, arena-worthy behemoths of metal. They’d outlasted the nu metal gold rush and were thriving in their own right, but something was about to shift.
