The 7â will be released on 26th July. The journey to creating 'Wild Godâ began with sweeping epic âFrogsâ. The first lines Cave penned for the album were powerfully evocative, referencing the first murder in the Bible, Cainâs slaying of Abel. He wrote, âUshering in the week he knelt down and crushed his brotherâs head in with a bone/Itâs my great privilege to walk you home.â This striking couplet became the opening lines to the song, and set the tone for the imagery and themes that followed. Cave says, âThe sheer exuberance of a song like âFrogsâ, it just puts a big fucking smile on my face.â
