Ipsa Corpora ("Actual Bodies") is a 40-minute solo guitar masterwork and Nathan Salsburg's first all-acoustic record since 2018's "Third." Salsburg has spent the past few years exploring time and space with his transcendent Landwerk series (comprised of electric guitar and samples of old 78 records), and a collaborative album with Bonnie "Prince" Billy where the two covered Lungfish (each track reaching the 20-minute mark). "Ipsa Corpora" continues these exercises in minimalistic restraint - and may be his most ambitious project to date.
