Today, UK-based songwriter Joyeria announces their brand new EP, Graceful Degradation, set for release on 31 October via Speedy Wunderground / [PIAS].
Alongside the announcement, Joyeria shares âThe Swimmerâ, the latest single from the EP, out today. The track follows the release of âI Donât Know, Who Cares?â, the first glimpse into the upcoming project.
âThe Swimmerâ pulses with driving rhythms and a striking synth line, expanding on Joyeriaâs signature existential indie-rock sound â sharp, satirical, and laced with experimental edge. Reflecting on Graceful Degradation, Joyeria describes the EP as a collection of songs that donât fit neatly into boxes: âlittle boxes of shadows and unexpected laughter⊠raw, like a skinned knee. Honest, in the way a chipped teacup holds the stain of too much tea.â Drawing on experiences from Poland, Canada, and now London â âthe city that swallows the unwanted, makes them its own peculiar ghostâ â the EP embraces imperfection, searching for meaning in the strange angles and fractured edges of modern existence.
