Bill Evans Interplay Vinyl LP 2023

Tracklist:

1. You And The Night And The Music
2. When You Wish Upon A Star
3. I'll Never Smile Again
4. Interplay
5. You Go To My Head
6. Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams
7. I'll Never Smile Again

Recorded in New York in July of 1962, Bill Evans' album Interplayshowcased the pianist with four legendary players, trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, guitarist Jim Hall, bassist Percy Heath, and drummer Philly Joe Jones. It represents a rare treat, for up until 1962, Evans recorded primarily as a leader in the piano trio format and not with horns. Evans' interplay with these four musicians, each of them personal favourites of Bill's, produced a most unusual and remarkable album.
